THE STORY BEHIND THE THRONE
“I needed that.”
Alex Don Dip
I hadn’t painted in over 30 years.
I picked up this chair a year ago with plans to do something with it. Then a good friend passed away, and out of nowhere I felt like painting.
While I was working, I asked neighbors walking by to add a brushstroke. One passerby painted one straight white paint stripe on the left armrest.
He said, “I needed that.”
That’s when it hit me. So did I.
I call this piece “Society Will Drain You.”
What’s something you used to love doing that you haven’t done in years?
A SPECIAL THANK-YOU
