The world outside.
The familiar map holds the places, possibilities and paths we spend our lives looking toward.
SCULPTURAL OBJECT / 2026
You Are
Here.
AllWaysAlex
This globe will always tell you where you are. And you guessed it—“You Are Here.”
A bronze zipper opens the globe to a mirrored interior. Look inside and the person looking back becomes part of the work.

THE THOUGHT BEHIND THE WORK
“Sometimes we get lost and have to look within to find ourselves.”
— AllWaysAlex
LOOKING WITHIN
The map can only
take you so far.
A globe gives every place a name. It shows us where we could go, but it cannot tell us where we belong.
You Are Here turns that familiar object inward. The zipper interrupts the map and opens a space for reflection. Beyond the countries, borders and routes, there is a mirror—and whoever stands in front of it.
The title borrows the small reassurance of a marker on a map. Here, that marker is your own reflection. Sometimes finding your way begins with stopping long enough to look at yourself.
THREE PARTS / ONE IDEA
A different kind of direction.
An opening.
An ordinary fastening becomes an invitation to look beneath the surface.
You, here.
The reflection changes with every viewer. The work always leads back to the person in front of it.
